I’m feeling a cranky episode coming on.

  1. Could be that my spouse didn’t sleep well last night so came back to bed at 6 a.m, which woke me up, an hour before my alarm was set. Grrr.
  2. Could be that I had to drive Trixie to school this morning (it is damn cold, she deserved it) because yesterday evening the Consort offered to drive her in, but see point 1.
  3. Could be that I’m working on a boring project.
  4. Could be that my schedule is being thrown topsy-turvy by the high school finals schedule.
  5. Could be that I am already feeling tired (see point 1).
  6. Just see point 1, dammit.

Could be all of that, plus maybe a need for sunlight? Crank away—you’ve earned it.

You had a spare hour in bed with your spouse and you were both wakeful and you wasted it? Some things are worth being tired for, remember.

I’ve made you feel more cranky now. Whoops. Sorry.

Z, I helpfully shared your reponse with my spouse. Sometimes they just need reminding, especially when they’re middle-aged. 😉

Well, Z, just call me a party pooper, but I needs me my sleep! (And so does the Consort). He came back to bed to *sleep*, and fell back asleep pretty quickly. Also, the reason he slept poorly was that he was raiding (that is, playing an online war game) until late at night. I do not condone such behavior with perks! 😉

That bastard. If your spouse woke you up, you should have kicked and punched until you were *both* awake.

If I came back to bed at 6am and woke my wife up — all because I was playing a computer game — hoo boy!…I shudder just to think of her reaction…the horror…the horror…

Sometimes it’s hard not to be cranky. I appreciate sleep as well but conflicting schedules of family members makes it tough, I’ll have to agree.
I’m working hard to maintain this yoga habit. I’ve been using a Patricia Moreno DVD that incorporates dance and I actually find it somewhat calming.
